ABOUT
The Obsidian Theater Festival
Storytelling has always been at the heart of the Black community, carried forward through the voices of actors, writers, musicians, dancers, and creatives who bring depth, truth, and authenticity to Black experiences beyond stereotypes and tropes.
The Obsidian Theatre Festival exists to uplift both stories and storytellers while celebrating the transformative power of the arts. More than a festival, Obsidian is a platform where Black creatives are seen, heard, and meaningfully celebrated through powerful performances and artistic expression.
But a vision this impactful can only happen when community comes together. Whether through attendance, partnership, volunteering, or giving, there are many ways to get involved.
Help us continue amplifying these voices and bringing these stories to life.
