Building Your Backstory: An In-Depth Look At How to Leverage Stanislavsky’s 7 Questions

This course is designed for intermediate and advanced acting students who want to review or explore Konstantin Stanislavsky’s 7 Questions and how to incorporate them into their approach to creating complex characters. Instructor Alexis Sims (For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf, New York, NY) details each question with definitions, in depth examples, and useful approaches from other acting techniques for actors to utilize in their own practice. Students will complete an essay detailing how they would use the 7 Questions in their next acting role.
