SOUL OF THE SENATOR

African-American Republican senator James 'Jamie' Carver is preparing for his speech to the NRA when he hears that not only is his daughter Corrina flying home suddenly from college, but there is a school shooting mere miles away from his family home, and one of the kids in the school is his niece Roberta. James must now skirt the line between protecting his political image with the help of his amoral Chief of Staff Benjamin Tomlinson while also comforting his emotionally stressed wife Dorothy and get to the bottom of what is going on with his daughter. However, he soon discovers that some of the laws he has voted for, defended and passed are the very laws that have caused the strife and turmoil with his family.
