We are proud to announce our first ever
OTF Youth Playwrighting Competition.
How it works:

Teachers* from participating schools are invited to submit up to five (5) short plays written by students.

All submissions to be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals who will determine ten (10) semi-finalists and the Youth Playwriting Competition winner.

Each semi-finalist will receive a $50 Visa gift card.
The winner will receive:

A $500 Visa gift card.

Virtual presentation of their play during The Obsidian Theatre Festival’s featured content streaming in June 2022.
-
Feedback and networking opportunities from OTF’s panel and worldwide viewership.
Competition Criteria:

Short plays no longer than 10 minutes in length with no more than four (4) characters.
-
Open to students in grades 7-12.

Title pages to include student pronouns and grade

Submissions open March 1, 2022
