Jayla Lyons

As story writer, poet and actress from a small town in Michigan, Jayla makes her impact on those around her. A freshly new graduate from Washtenaw International High School, Jayla has utilized her passion for creating stories with her ability to highlight underestimated voices. Jayla enjoys acting, basketball, poetry and cosmetology. Her play “Love In Our Words” focuses on a tragedy at the hands of white brutality that ultimately inspires main character, “Deon Sanders” to explore her true ambitions.
